Overview
Ambii ("we," "our," or "us") is an AI assistant that listens to your conversations and takes action on your behalf — surfacing insights, drafting messages, and handling tasks. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
- Audio & transcripts. When you use Ambii, audio from your device microphone is streamed to our servers for real-time transcription. Neither raw audio nor transcripts are stored on our servers — they are processed in memory and discarded. Transcripts are stored locally on your device only.
- Account information. When you sign in (e.g. via Sign in with Apple), we store your user identifier and display name.
- Integration tokens. When you connect third-party services (Google, Slack, GitHub, Notion), we store OAuth access and refresh tokens so Ambii can act on your behalf. We do not store your passwords.
How We Use Your Data
- Transcribe your conversations and generate AI-powered insights and suggested actions.
- Execute actions you approve — such as sending Slack messages, drafting emails, or creating GitHub pull requests.
- Improve and maintain the service.
Third-Party Services
Ambii relies on the following third-party services to function. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Deepgram — audio is streamed to Deepgram for real-time transcription.
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI reasoning and action generation. Transcript content is sent to Anthropic for processing during your session.
- Google — Gmail and Calendar integration (when connected).
- Slack — messaging integration (when connected).
- GitHub — code repository integration (when connected).
- Notion — workspace integration (when connected).
Data Retention & Deletion
The only data stored on our servers is your account information and OAuth integration tokens. Transcripts and audio are never stored server-side. You can disconnect any integration at any time from the app settings, which immediately revokes our access and deletes the stored tokens. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS) for all data transfers, including audio streams and API calls. OAuth tokens are stored securely in our database. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. You can disconnect third-party integrations directly in the app. For any other requests, contact us below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page.
